Volunteer at TechEd01!

Volunteering is a great way for people to make a contribution to the conference while receiving a complimentary registration; one day free for one day volunteered.

As you can see from the attached volunteer sign-up form, we are in need of many different types of volunteers including: Bag Stuffing, Computer Set-up and Take Down, Hosts, Photographer, Registration Support, Speaker Hosts and Technology Support.

Bag Stuffing: 
Assist in the stuffing of the conference tote bags with sponsored items.
  Sunday, March 25 � 8:00am-5:00pm

Computer Set-Up and Take Down: 
Assist in the set-up and take down of computer labs, messaging centers and registration with loaned equipment. Volunteers should be familiar with the set-up Apple, Sun and/or PC computers and be willing and able to lift computer boxes.
  Saturday, March 24 - 10:00am-5:00pm (set-up)
  Thursday, March 29 - 10:00am-5:00pm (take-down)

Hosts:
Hosts will be responsible for meeting and greeting attendees and directing them to the correct registration lines and to meeting rooms.

Photographer:
A photographer is needed is photograph the conference activities. This volunteer position would be perfect for a photography student. TechEd will supply the film, you bring your 35 mm camera.

Registration Support: 
Assist in the registration of attendees. Volunteers should be able to work under pressure, be positive and energetic, able to think quickly and problem solve.

  Thursday, March 29 � 6:00-11:00am

Speaker Hosts: 
Speaker Hosts are responsible for ensuring that each session runs smoothly. Speaker Hosts are responsible for welcoming participants, introducing the speaker(s) (introductions will be provided), passing out presentation materials and surveys. Volunteers should be friendly and energetic. A brief training session will be held first thing each morning.

Technology Support: 
Technology support is needed to support the conference technology manager. Volunteers should have some networking background, experience with software configuration, and comfortable working with Apple, PC and Sun computers.
