Hands-On Lab Sessions...
Please note:
The Primary Presenter must be an educator, with the exception of Hands-on
Computer Lab and Corporate Solutions session presentation types. If you are not

Please list the contact information for the person who should receive all
correspondence from TechEd regarding this presentation. The person listed below
is considered the main contact and is responsible for disseminating information
to all relevant presenters.
Speaker Credentials: Provide a one or
two paragraph description (not a list or resume) of the primary presenter's
expertise, focusing on experience with the topic and conducting workshops.
Co-Presenters: All co-presenters must register
and pay the applicable conference registration fee upon acceptance. A
maximum of two co-presenters will be listed in the conference program.
Please select a primary and secondary topic for your
presentation. Content relevant to these topic selections should be readily
apparent within the description of your presentation proposal. If your
presentation is not selected within your chosen primary topic, the TechEd
Advisory Committee will take your secondary topic selection into account during
the grading process to determine if your presentation fits within the bounds of
our program.

- Concisely
explain the issue/problem your presentation addresses and what attendees will
learn in the session.
- If using
abbreviations or acronyms in your description, please also spell out for
clarity.

Abstract:
500-700 words. Presentations are selected based on applicable content. Please
provide a comprehensive description of the session’s content, activities and
anticipated outcomes. In addition, be sure to:
- Explain your methodology
for integrating new media/technology into the presentation.
- Provide research findings
and/or other documentation that supports your presentation, if applicable.
- Describe your presentation
plan (ie. handouts, activities, visuals, etc.).
- If using
abbreviations of acronyms in your description, please also spell out for
clarity.
Upon acceptance of your
proposal, this abstract and your description will be posted to the TechEd Web
site for attendees to view.

Presentation Type: First-choice Concurrent
Session:
Duration: 1:00. Your successful technology case, application, program or
practice within an educational institution or across several institutions in
1-hour sessions. Present on your own or with a collaborative team or panel of
colleagues.
ADOBE LAB Hands-on
Computer Lab:
Duration: 1:00. 1-hour sessions emphasize software training and the opportunity
to gain a better understanding of how different types of technology can be used
to enhance education. Please note:
Software must be provided to TechEd by the presenter by March 15, 2008 to be
pre-installed on computers. You will be contacted by TechEd after submission
with a request for technology specifications.
Special
Interest Symposium:
Duration: 1:45. An hour and forty five minute session, delving into a specific
topic of interest. You and your panel of speakers will present a topic relevant
to the effective use of education technology, while offering participants a
highly interactive experience. This is a perfect format in which to offer
differing opinions for debate.
Half-day Pre-conference Workshop:
Duration: 3:00. Share your experience with effective uses of technology in the
classroom in these intensive 3-hour interactive and activity-based sessions.
Please note: Software must be provided to
TechEd by the presenter by March 1, 2006 to be pre-installed on computers.
Full-day Pre-conference Workshop:
Duration: 6:00. Share your experience with effective uses of technology in the
classroom in these intensive 6-hour interactive and activity-based sessions.
Please note: Software must be provided to
TechEd by the presenter by March 1, 2006 to be pre-installed on computers.
Roundtable Session:
Duration: 1:00. Facilitate substantive discussions or small group activities
relating to key issues and topics in 1-hour sessions. Roundtables allow up to 2
presenters to engage participants in intensive conversation in an informal
roundtable setting within the exhibit hall. Presenters may use battery-operated
laptops for visual emphasis.
Please note: Roundtables cannot accommodate
equipment other than a battery operated laptop provided by the presenter;
Internet/electricity and audio/video will NOT be provided for Roundtables.
Poster Session:
Duration: 1:00. Poster Sessions allow for short presentations throughout a
1-hour period, primarily through the use of graphs, diagrams, pictures, data and
narrative text on your laptop (aka ePoster) or traditional bulletin board. As
they move freely from poster to poster, attendees are able to study information
and discuss it with presenters one-on-one.
TechEd provides a table, chair, electricity,
Internet connectivity and a 4’X8” bulletin board for each poster presenter;
audio/video equipment will NOT be provided for Poster Sessions.

/ Session Fees |
- Neither honoraria nor expenses will be paid to educator or corporate
presenters.
- Primary presenter will receive complimentary, regular conference
registration.
- Co-presenters must register and pay the appropriate registration fee.
- Corporate submissions for most sessions require a presentation fee. Please
note, contracted exhibitors and sponsors are given first priority for acceptance
of corporate submissions.

copy of your proposal before submitting and make note of your booking number.
