Volunteer at TechEd!

TechEd would not be possible but for the many dedicated individuals who help us throughout the planning year and onsite at the conference.

Volunteering is a great way to make a contribution to the conference. In return, you will:
Small Blue Dot Bullet receive a free full-day Regular Conference Registration for each day worked!
Small Blue Dot Bullet meet and greet interesting people from around the world!
Small Blue Dot Bullet be part of one of the best educational technology conferences in the world!

We are in need of many different types of volunteers including:

Technology Support:
Technology support is needed to support the conference technology manager. Volunteers should have some networking background, experience with software configuration, and be comfortable working with Apple, PC and Sun computers.

Information Hosts/Ushers:
Hosts will be responsible for meeting and greeting attendees and directing them to the correct registration lines and to meeting rooms.

Registration Support:
Assist in the registration of attendees. Volunteers should be able to work under pressure, be positive and energetic, able to think quickly and problem solve, and be customer service oriented.

Room/Speaker Hosts:
Room/Speaker Hosts are responsible for ensuring that each session room, as assigned, runs smoothly. Room/Speaker Hosts are responsible for welcoming participants, introducing the speaker(s) (introduction verbiage is provided), passing out presentation materials and surveys. Volunteers should be friendly and energetic. A brief training session will be held each morning.

Computer Take Down:
Assist in the take down of computer labs, messaging centers and registration with loaned equipment. Volunteers should be familiar with the set-up of Apple, Sun and/or PC computers and be willing and able to lift computer boxes.
