TechEd 2006 Gold Sponsors
Providing Free Passes to the Future of Education

Microsoft, Apple, Adobe, ETS, PeopleWare Pro, Torque in Education, GovPLACE, OmniUpdate & Vizual Symphony form the backbone of Technology in Education.

Pasadena, CA – “When the leaders of technology aim their sights on education, the resonance of change abounds!” So says William Neece, conference director for TechEd 2006, the 11th Annual Technology in Education Conference & Tech Exposition being held March 26 - 29, 2006 inside the beautiful and historic Pasadena Conference Center in Pasadena, California.

Microsoft, Peopleware Pro, Torque in Education and GovPlace are joinging returning TechEd Gold Sponsors Apple, Adobe, ETS, and OmniUpdate in helping to provide free passes for deserving schools. “We have literally sent out thousands and thousands of free TechEd 2006 passes to deserving schools and individual education professionals because of the generosity of our sponsors,” says Matson Breakey, registration marketing manager for TechEd 2006.

Sponsorship is an integral part of any event, but especially so for The Community College Foundation, a not-for-profit organization whose activities range from tutoring and foster youth internships to mobile technology buses and technology in education events and conferences.

“At the Foundation, we strive everyday to find a way to meet the needs of the under-served. Whether it is foster youth or public schools, it is our mission to ensure everyone has a chance to a better future,” says William.

According to William, sponsorships allow for many great activities including great scholarship programs permitting hundreds of teachers from around the globe to attend TechEd without having to pay the $265 individual registration fee.

“Our sponsors are a key ingredient in the success of TechEd, and the leadership shown on the list of Gold Sponsors is a strong indication of the kind of event TechEd 2006 is going to be,” adds William.
