Hosts Call For Educators to Attend TechEd 2006 LAUSD, Chaffey College and DeVry University Emphasize Importance
Sacramento – The official hosts of TechEd 2006 have called for educators and administrators to attend the 11th Annual Technology in Education Conference & Exposition taking place March 26 – 29 at the historic Pasadena Conference Center in Pasadena, California.
“Obviously, we live in a time when technology is a significant part of our lives,” says Matson Breakey, “and no where is that change more prevalent, and harder to implement, than in our children’s classrooms.”
TechEd brings together thousands of educators and administrators to share problems and discover solutions for the growing needs of the modern learning environment.
“Our conference features over 250 sessions covering topics like Standards-Based Education, Plagiarism, Technology Funding Strategies, and a host of other issues that plague our schools today,” Matson adds. “Every educator, administrator, school board member, and superintendent from K through 20 will find value at the leading hands-on conference of its time.”
As official hosts, Los Angeles Unified School District, Chaffey College and DeVry University support TechEd through advisory committees, volunteer recruitment, and outreach to their colleagues at K through 20 institutions throughout the region and across the globe.
“TechEd’s sole purpose is to bring the effective use of technology to education,” says William Neece, “but without the support of our hosts and their commitment to technology in their own institutions, our conference would not be possible.”
